The digital economy: the challenge to Russia

Abstract

Significance of the forth industrial revolution and its result — a digital economy for human society progress are analyzed as well as their contradictory effects on welfare and labor market of a separate country and global community in general. The consequences of introduction of artificial intelligence and cyber- physical systems into processes of production. The program Industry 4.0 of transmission of German industry to digital basis through introduction of digital techniques and smart factories is analyzed. Problems and possibilities of development of digital economy in Russia are demonstrated. The article describes the main elements of digital economy such as blockchain, cyber-physical systems, digitalization, big data, artificial intelligent. The negative effects of digital economy and possible ways of their elimination are demonstrated.
