Protectionism in the EU — US agri-food trade: agricultural agenda of the transatlantic trade and investment partnership
Abstract
The agricultural agenda of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership is evaluated (from the EU position). Special attention is paid to the prospects of removing regulatory differences and other non-tariff barriers. The current state of non-tariff barriers in agri-food trade between the EU and the U.S. is analyzed, the most sensitive barriers in the agri-food trade are determined. The prospects of the TTIP negotiations in agricultural and food issues are considered.
